Forgotten

Oh hey, I had sketches I could upload!

Super messy sketch is super messy. Clean line art is a HUGE weakness.

Just to show people that I do draw guys on occasion. Like I've said in previous posts, I tend to draw guys more when I'm doing anatomy studies.

You can never stop learning with art. Sometimes, you have to be reminded of lessons you've been through in order to lean more.

ZOMBIE!girl

I was scanning and editing sketches to upload... and got tremendously distracted. However, it was a good distraction! Digital painting epiphany: learning how to play with brush settings. Here's the simple and amazing tutorial.  These images are the most "painterly" I've ever been despite graduating with a PAINTING and drawing major. Also, I guess it's the first time I really played and pushed colors around.

Screenshot of what I started with.

Between Volunteers

Volunteered at Otakon 2012 with my boyfriend and his friends. Apparently, it's one of the biggest Anime conventions... well, it definitely was a bit overwhelming. It's a different world inside that building. We were in charge of food runs and art auction organization. The amount of money people throw out for crappy fanart made me cringe a little, but still, it was fun watching how trends and values shift from artwork to artwork. Okay, here are a few sketches I did during slow hours:

I was a bit flattered when one of the workers asked if I was working on a commission. Ahhh, I wish. It wouldn't hurt to make a few extra bucks for a couple of doodles. My boyfriend and I are planning on a social experiment for next year's art auction, but we're not sure if was really wanna be that douchey yet.

Gap Filling

The title sounds like I'm caulking something disgusting or a disgusting filling for a cupcake... I don't know. Men are rarities on this sketch blog because the only time I draw men are for anatomy practices. Plus, girls are more fun to draw.

I'm not sure if I have a twisted mind or miserable looking girls make very good warm-up sketches.

BRAIN POOP.

Trying to tie observational drawings with new "Hair Monster" ideas. Random: the lyrics from the second sketch is from "Love in A Box" by Workday Release. If that song doesn't make you slightly chipper inside, you have no heart.

Two Things...

...since I haven't uploaded anything in a LONG time. Eventually, I'll have sketches of IRS Clothing concepts. More mindless doodles to come!

Inspired by Hummingbird's crazy face from Deadman Wonderland.
